         ~Kataragama Sacred City❤~


First i have to say Kataragama is a model of a religions diversity.❤️Beacause Kataragama is not just a buddhist city.Kataragama devotional complex have also houses a mosque.❤️One of the few religious sites in sri lanka that is venerated by the Buddhist ,Hindus ,Muslims and vadda people ❤️.


This sacred place with great surroundings is peaceful to the mind.❤️

have to cross the Menik River to reach the Kataragama Sacred Area❤️.As pilgrims approach the river, they find a large number of shops and stands setting ‘pooja vatti’. The fruits and other religious items are carefully displayed, and the shops are decorated with god’s colour, red.Then we can see Kavadi shops.😍Kavadi is used in the sound offering to the god Kataragama


I would like to remind you about the special feature here😍 it is Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Perahera.The main festival is known as the Esala Perahera by the Sinhalese. It is celebrated in the months of July and August.Kataragama perahera is one of the most beautiful festivals in Sri Lanka.The festival lasts for 15 days and is very festive. 

 


Kataragama is one of the most beautiful places I 've ever been to❤️ . One day I went trip to kataragama .. It was very funny..😘❤️ There are a lot of memories  of that trip.❤️

We went to many places. Sellakatharagama, Wadasitikanda and kiriwehera were the main ones we visited.. 🌷
             


             Finally I would like to say ... kataragama is one of my favourite cities. ❤️🙏. I think this  city will change my future one day . I am very attached to this city and love it a lot...❤️😘

Favourite person❤

       My favourite person ❤ Wannakuwattawaduge Don Albert Perera.Everyone knows that his name was Amaradewa. He was born on 5 December,1927. He was a famouse Sri Lankan composer,sinhalese vocalist and violinist. He best in sinhala folk music and indian ragas. He have heart feeling voice.that voice make me happy.love his amazing voice. It takes me to a different dimension. I most like the song "Wakkada Laga". He was sings deep meaning songs. I headed through it too.then i addicted it. His contribution to sinhala music is highly regarded. He Mainly used traditional instruments such as sitar,tabla and harmonium. There's no one who could tough his vocal range. He is the creator of modern sinhalese music the capability of singing both classical ragadari and western styles. Amaradeva died at the age of 88 on 3 november 2016,due to heart failure. But his creations and music will never be forgotten in our hearts.
